Life doesn’t always unfold the way we envision, but that doesn’t mean hope is off the table. What to Do with Disappointment

• Accept that life doesn’t always work out the way we hoped. And still believe we can have hope no matter what happens to us.
• Recognize we almost always have to go through some “stuff” to lay hold of what God has promised ~ I.e. King David’s anointing as the next king of Israel; Abraham’s promise of a sone.
• Remember the importance of Divine guidance – “David inquired of the Lord.” Ratchet up your prayer life.
• Believe it’s always right to do what’s right, even in the face of deep disappointment.
• Reaffirm your trust in God.
• Resist the urge to take matters into your own hands.
