LEADING FROM ALIGNMENT PODCAST EPISODE 330: BEACH CHAIRS & BREAKTHROUGHS

by | Apr 7, 2026 | Leadership, Ministry Leader, Pastor, Reflection, Refreshing

Earlier this year, Laura and John were given the rare gift of three uninterrupted weeks away. They rented a condo on the ocean, where each morning began with coffee on the balcony and the sun rising over the Atlantic, the steady rhythm of the waves setting the pace for unhurried days. In the quiet space created by slowing down, clarity began to surface. As often happens when life’s noise fades, Father God met them in those moments—dropping what John calls “mic drops” into his heart. In this episode, he shares the powerful “aha” breakthroughs that emerged from the beach.

Aha 1: I really like sunshine

  • There’s something about sunlight that changes my outlook. It doesn’t just warm our skin — it brightens our perspective.
  • Sometimes we underestimate the power of environment.

Aha 2: God is bigger than any of my fears, challenges, or questions

  • If He holds the Atlantic in place, He can hold me.
  • Whatever role you’re carrying right now — nothing you’re facing is outside of God’s ability to help
  • May your view of Him become large when life feels heavy.

Aha 3: God’s capacity to care is inexhaustible

  • It’s one thing to believe God is powerful. It’s another to believe He is attentive.
  • The same God who governs galaxies also knows the number of hairs on your head. Think about that. He doesn’t just generally care about humanity — He specifically cares about you.
  • God’s capacity to care is not limited. He never runs out of emotional bandwidth. He is not stretched thin.

Aha 4: “Wherever I am, I bring light.”

  • God is not the author of confusion. He does not specialize in hiding answers from His children.
  • You are not navigating your future in the dark. You are not abandoned in ambiguity.

Slow down long enough to sit in the light. Lift your eyes to something bigger than your current problem. Remember that you are deeply cared for. And trust that wherever He is present, light is coming.
