Positive Trend 1: Giving

I’ve lost count of the number of pastors, who since the beginning of the pandemic, have relayed to me that they’ve been experiencing record levels of giving. In light of the challenges we’ve had, for the vast majority of churches, giving hasn’t been one of them. Takeaways for leaders:

Positive Trend 2: New Growth

Church leaders reported to us losses of 30-60% of people from the churches they lead during 2020-2021. And while the attrition has been happening, another phenomenon is occurring at the same time . . . new growth. Takeaways for leaders:

1. Prepare for new growth.
2. Upgrade your guest experience. Put yourself in their shoes and make your gatherings understandable to them.
3. Create space for new people to meet you and each other.
