• We’ve noticed in the past couple of years an uptick in the number of lead pastors experiencing turbulence with their worship pastors – whether it be over worship styles, conflict over who’s in charge, etc. From your perspective, what might be some contributing factors?
  • Clashing communication styles.
  • Unclear expectations.
  • Lack of discipleship.
  • Fear and insecurity.
  • Inconsistency in the way lead pastors treat their staff.
  • Worship pastors who are building their own kingdoms.
• What do you wish you could tell worship leaders about their relationship with their direct report? Direct reports about their relationship with their worship leaders/pastors?
  • As a worship pastor, you are an extension of the lead pastor’s authority under God.
  • Become more like Jesus – discipleship.
  • Understand that unity is primary.
  • Let worship pastors be creative. Allow them to dream.
  • Worship pastors need encouragement.
