It’s our tradition to take the first one or two episodes of the year to reflect on the biggest lessons we learned in the previous year. These are indelible takeaways we aspired to carry forward into 2024. We’ll take two today in episode 219, and 2 more in Episode 220 next week. Happy New Year!

Indelible Lesson 1:  Refuse to put God in a box.

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” One of the biggest lessons for me in 2023 is don’t limit God. Don’t say no for God.

Now it’s important to remember: We have limitations. But God does not. Our limitations do not limit Him, nor what He intends to accomplish through us. Our limitations are invitations for Him to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine.

Indelible Lesson 2:  To move forward, you must let go of something.

2023 has been a year of multiple surrenders for me.

• Personal surrender.
• Professional surrender.

What things do you need to let go of? What have you been clinging to in your private life that keeps tripping you up? In your professional life, that keeps you from the most important responsibilities. To move forward, you must let go of something.
